1. Description
Soy Flakes come in the form of small flakes or granules, produced through esterification. The wax has a melting point of 50°C and an oil absorption rate of 7%. This process transforms unsaturated fatty acids into saturated fatty acids, converting soybean oil from a liquid to a solid form with a higher melting point. Soy Flakes are considered one of the best raw materials for making artistic scented candles.
Advantages
- Smooth, even surface with minimal shrinkage.
- Longer burn time compared to palm wax.
- Produces little to no black smoke.
- Creates a white flame, similar to fluorescent light.
2. Application & Production Process
Used in:
- Industry and candle production (tealight candles, pillar candles, artistic candles, and molded candles).
- Cosmetics and personal care industries.
- A key ingredient for making space-fragrance wax products.
Notes
- When producing, increase the proportion of colorants, as soy wax absorbs color less effectively than other wax types.
- Additionally, its oil absorption rate is lower than most other waxes, so pay close attention to formulation ratios.
